Please remember, flytipping is a criminal offence with a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison or an unlimited fine !!

When seen we will publish photographs and videos of flytippers disposing of their rubbish on the streets of our community.

Our aim is to stop our Semilong Northampton neighbourhood looking like a rubbish tip.

Semilong Northampton Litter Lout 1

This LITTER LOUT casually threw his litter on the ground with no regard to the people who live, work or pass through Semilong Northampton.

Litter is a permanent problem in our neighbourhood and despite it costing thousands to clear up, some people think it is still alright to throw there litter on the ground.

Our aim is to make these litter louts think twice about using Semilong Northampton streets as a litter bin and to reduce the amount of litter that our residents have to put up with.

As this map of reported crime shows, our Semilong Northampton neighbourhood is a crime hotspot, with the crime rate figures never falling below the HIGH mark.

Our aim is to help to reduce that figure by highlighting the publiscised crime in our neighbourhood.

Trilogy Gyms

Though the FIT FOR A FIVER Scheme as detailed below has now ENDED, Trology Gyms are still ideally located for Semilong Northampton residents to get fitter.

The closest gym and leisure centre to Semilong Northampton is at The Mounts with the swimming pool, gym, fitness classes and saunas.

Great for anyone wanting to improve their fitness.

Fit For A Fiver Scheme At Trilogy Gyms

PLEASE NOTE THIS SCHEME HAS NOW ENDED [updated 16th March 2011]

For those residents in Semilong Northampton who have been thinking about getting fitter or about joining a gym, this is an ideal time.

In an interview today with SEMILONG.ORG, Julia Taylor from the Trilogy group of gyms, (Mounts Baths, Danes Camp, and Lings Forum) reports that there is a new scheme called ' Fit For A Fiver '

This new and as yet unpubliscised initiative, enables those residents who live and have home addresses in the Castle Ward, Thorplands or Lumbertubs areas of Northampton, to freely use the facilities of the swimming pools, the health suites and the gyms (including free use of all the various keep fit classes) all for £5 for three months.

This would normally cost £33.00 a month so residents have the opportunity to save over £90 for three months membership.

" The special offer has been funded by the Primary Care Trust to help motivate people to use the centres to get fitter " Julia Taylor said.

"The funding is for 250 memberships over the three areas in Northampton and so it is an ideal time to join to get fitter"

Membership would allow residents to use the swimming pools, gyms or health suite facilities at any of the three centres, though the Mounts Baths site is only 10 minutes walk from Semilong.

Free Swimming Initiative

Until March 2011, every child 16 or under and every adult 60 years old or older can swim for free as part of a national campaign to promote swimming and general fitness.
